Sig Sauer is a premium firearms manufacturer with deep roots in Swiss precision engineering and modern American production in Newington, New Hampshire. Sig pistols are issued to U.S. military forces (the M17/M18 is the official sidearm of all five branches), federal law enforcement, and a growing share of state and local agencies. The P320 and P365 Platforms
The P320 is Sig's modular striker-fired pistol — the same platform used by the U.S. military as the M17/M18. The fire-control unit is the serialized component, allowing one user to swap between full-size, carry, compact, and subcompact configurations. The P365 is Sig's revolutionary micro-compact carry pistol; the standard model holds 10+1 rounds in a footprint smaller than most single-stack subcompacts. The P365 X-Macro extends capacity to 17+1 in a still-concealable frame.
P226 and Classic Hammer-Fired Sigs
The P226 is the legacy duty pistol that established Sig's reputation — a hammer-fired, all-metal handgun used by Navy SEALs, Texas Rangers, and many federal agencies. The P229, P220, and P210 round out the classic hammer-fired line. These pistols command a premium price but offer trigger feel, balance, and durability that few polymer pistols match. They are favored by experienced shooters and collectors.
